WITHDRAWAL OF THE UNITED KINGDOM AND NORTHERN IRELAND FROM THE SINGLE MARKET AND CUSTOMS UNION - RULES APPLICABLE TO NORTHERN IRELAND - EU-UK TRADE AND COOPERATION AGREEMENT
On January 1st, 2021 (01/01/2021 – 00:00 CET) the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland left the single market and customs union and "automatically" joined the Common Transit Convention (CTC-Common Transit Convention), as the transition period provided for in the withdrawal agreement ends on 31 December 2020.
