Pursuant to the European Directive 2014/40/EU (TPD) for tobacco products, a European system of traceability & safety features of tobacco products shall be created. The date of application of the system of traceability and safety features for cigarettes and finely cut tobacco intended for the manufacture of handmade (roll) cigarettes is 20 May 2019 and for all other tobacco products shall be May 20th, 2024.
