What do I need to do to interface?

Business interfacing steps

  1. View POS details

POS details submitted by Payment Service Providers (Acquirers) and Payment Network Service Providers (NSPs) are available to businesses on the myAADE digital portal

  2. Submit a statement of disagreement

Businesses using POS submit a Payment Means Declaration, exclusively and only if they disagree with the data shown in the Payment Means Register

  3. POS upgrade

The upgrade of active POS is carried out remotely under the responsibility of Payment Network Service Providers (NSPs)

  4. Upgrade notification

Businesses receive a notification via email about the upgrade of their POS

  5. POS - Cash System Interface

Until 31/03/2024, the FIM (Online Tax Mechanism) technician connects the POS with the cash register on site, in accordance with Decision 1098/2022 and completes the process.
The above date can be extended for an additional month, i.e., until 30/04/2024 for businesses that have a scheduled appointment with an installation technician within April and for businesses that will declare to the POS Registry that they are going to replace their cash register system with one of the newly available “all in one” solutions, which does not require further interface actions.

Businesses that use cash systems that cooperate with ERP have an obligation to interface with POS the cash systems that cooperate with ERP, according to Decision 1155/2023, until 30/9/2024.
